May this be the sincere prayer of our hearts in this time. May God grant us that we should be a living testimony in this upcoming holiday and festive season.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: This newsletter will be the last for this year. The next will be sent out at the end of January 2010.
Update on our ministry here in Ladybrand and surroundings / Daily Things
This month has been busy and time flew by very quickly. We went to Cape Town for the graduation ceremony. Congratulations to Bertus for receiving his Bachelors Degree in Ministry and being ordained through Team Work International as well. Also to Marina for receiving her Masters Degree in Ministry. Yet another chapter concluded this year! Marina will finish her Doctorate in Ministry and most likely be at Graduation at the end of 2010.
Marina was invited to the CRC youth to do a talk and some games one Friday evening. It was all about Christian Communication. They played a game (problem solver) on communication and it was a sight to see when 30 odd young people all talk together on top of their voices to try and give instructions to each other! That was a very successful evening. Praise the Lord for young folk that are still very interested in serving their Master and Savior.
Marina was also invited to do one Monday morning assembly at the Yeshua College (A.C.E. School). We had a good session on what Christmas is really all about. Not food, drinks, gifts and parties! But most assuredly, it is all about Christ! That also went very well.
We are still in the process of building! It so happened that a person from town promised to bring building sand, and that never happened. Cement is also still a problem. So we trust that the Lord will help us to break through in this regard. Many other things are available, like door frames and window frames and some of the bathroom accessories. We will surely keep you updated on this project.
We have a 9-day holiday camp starting on the 12th of December, running till the 20th of December. We are excited, as this will be an opportunity again to give some input in our young children’s lives. We are looking forward to a full and fun filled, packed time! To God be all the glory!
Our Home Cell and Word School sessions have stopped for this year. Many people are away already and we will start soon in the New Year again.
Finances and other
God is still in total control of this. He is so faithful and we have really been blessed this year! Thank you to all of you who are involved in our financial support and your absolute obedience. We know that God is our Source and He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider! Our prayer to all of you is that He would bless you in this time and the year to come, with every spiritual blessing that He has in store for you. Thank you for your diligence in support. May He be the CHRIST in your Christ-filled time! God bless you!
Thank you also; we have received a small digital camera. We are really blessed. Thank you so much!
Thank you also for your prayers, love and friendship. You have really touched our hearts.
Thank you to our “family” in Cape Town for a lovely time. It was great being with you again. Thank you for your love and hospitality. It was just great! It was such a blessing to see all the other friends as well. May you be blessed!
